Dear Visitor,
Welcome to the dBbasstesch website. We believe you will find here what could satisfy your musical desires. We are glad that you are willing to give us a little of your precious time. Let the reward for this favour be music that you can, if you like, download for free.
Completed in 2022, year's six-song mini-album offers the listener a cross-section of the band's work, trying to differentiate themselves from what is usual and routine for many bands. The songs partly reflect a different approach to making music and to some extent break the generally established rules for composing.
In 2024 we are gradually recording a long-playing album with the Latin tittle: Silesia Patria Mea (Silesia My Country). With this, we would like tofollow up on the previous mini-album, but with difference, we will not repeat ourselves musicially.
Song tittles for upcoming album: The Superego, Silesia Patria Mea, A Call To Anguish, Let It Rock, Psalm 151, Wolfgang´s "Motorhead", The Judas´ Priests
dBbasstesch is a Silesian band from the historic town of Teschen (now Český Těšín and Cieszyn), which was also formerly known as Teschen-Ost and Teschen-West. The band was formed in 2019 on the initiative of Marek J. Machala. The musical style presented by this group could be called Wasser Rock & Big beat Olsa. The main language the band writes lyrics in is English and partly German along with the Upper Silesian dialect for the Teschen region. The EP Afryka.corps.demo is the first release. The themes contained in the lyrics deal with social problems, alienation, the desire for the autonomy of Silesia and are also a kind of inner view telling about why dBbasstesch was created and what music means to the band.
Bohdan Koch: lead vocals (Teschen-West)
Adam Paweł Szeliga: rhythm & lead guitars, bass & drums (Teschen-Ost)
Marek Johannes Machala: rhythm guitar & background vocals (Teschen-West)
